Candida Halton

Founder

Candida is a healthcare strategist and communications specialist and set up Studio Health over a decade ago. She enjoys pursuing evidence-based projects with a focus on health information, communication and promotion. She has a passion for health education, both as a student (currently working towards a Professional Doctorate) and as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Westminster, where she holds a part-time role.

Lisa Brockwell

Managing Director

Lisa has worked in pharmaceutical communications for more than 25 years in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific. She began her career in HIV advocacy at the height of the AIDS pandemic, giving her insight into partnership between patients, doctors and the pharma industry. After working for a global PR firm in London she set up her own agency. She has been at Studio Health since 2022 and leads our work in patient advocacy.

Sally Snow

Research Lead

Sally is an experienced writer and researcher who specializes in bridging the gap between scientific advancements and accessible health information. She has conducted and published systematic literature reviews in public health and health systems improvement, as well as stakeholder research programs, including surveys, interviews, focus groups and social listening projects. Sally holds a PhD in evolutionary molecular biology and is pursuing a professional Master’s in Public Health (MPH), with a focus on health literacy.

Alexis Ward

Program Director

Alexis harmonizes scientific and creative disciplines to create work with impact. With a background in brand strategy and a Master’s in Psychology, she brings a fresh perspective to health conversations. She has led a breadth of projects: from workplace research and awareness campaigns to producing a top-rated consumer podcast. She is particularly interested in women’s health, uncovering the lived experiences of menopause, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis.

Holly Hudson

Sr. Program Director

Holly is a marketing and communications consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the health and pharmaceutical sector. Her expertise covers both strategic and tactical marketing, encompassing brand planning, product launches, disease awareness programs and communications. Holly’s background is in brand management and insight generation. Previously Holly worked as a brand lead for Sanofi, working on launch products and commercial brands.

Andreea Prisecaru

Researcher

Andreea is a researcher with a background in psychology and biomedical sciences, specializing in patient-centric care and health system research. She holds a BSc in Psychology from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Biomedical Sciences. Her background includes working across various therapeutic areas to improve the patient experience, with a focus on evaluating patient education materials to enhance medical communications and assessing patient support services for rare diseases in the US, Europe, and Japan.

Veronika Rysinova

Researcher

Veronika is a doctoral researcher specializing in the dynamic link between physical and mental health. With a foundation in nutritional research, she conducts systematic reviews, qualitative and quantitative studies and program evaluations. Passionate about preventative solutions, Veronika has shaped funded behavior change programs in the UK. She holds an MSc in Health Psychology from King’s College London and is completing her Health Psychology doctorate at UWE Bristol.

Courtney Barnes

Operations Manager

Courtney has more than six years of project management experience in the pharmaceutical sector. She has supported and delivered on fast-paced, complex projects, and excels in collaborating with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Courtney started her career as an Executive Assistant, which helped her develop exceptional organization and time management skills.

Freya Hellier

Executive Radio & Podcast Producer

Freya is an executive radio and podcast producer, content maker and strategist. She has many years of broadcast radio experience (BBC Radio 3 & 4). Freya works closely with subject matter experts using podcasting in communications strategy and academic research dissemination. She is passionate about using personal stories to bring complex ideas and research to life and is skilled in script writing, interviewing and producing / presenting.

Raman Sidhu

Financial Controller

Raman is a finance executive with over 15 years of experience spanning banking, media, and communication agencies. With a strategic mindset, Raman excels in anticipating industry trends, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering actionable insights. Early in her career she observed small businesses struggling due to a lack of financial focus, cementing her belief that finance is the heart of every business.
